Medical Illumination Unveils New Corporate Brand

New logo, website and collateral introduced at Arab Health 2016

San Fernando, CA – Medical Illumination International, a three-decade leader in specialized lighting for the medical and veterinary fields, is unveiling its new corporate branding this January at Arab Health Exhibition & Congress in Dubai.  This represents the first significant update in the corporate identity program in a number of years, and comes on the heels of the company’s major advancements in high-tech LED surgical, procedure and exam lights.

The new brand logo is a striking two-tone MI letter-graphic bisected by an arch representing the profile of the company’s lights.  The logo and color palette are also represented in the new product brochures featuring the MI LED Series of medical lights and accessories and the flagship System Two LED surgery light.

In addition, a new Medical Illumination website will be launched mid-January that showcases the company’s advanced technology, streamlines navigation and will, in the coming months, bring many exciting enhancements to the overall user experience.  The website URL is

Both the website and the new product literature will also introduce a new corporate theme line, “Illuminated Thinking,” that reflects the company’s commitment to innovative solutions and advanced engineering in the service of providing the best overall combination of quality, features, performance and price.

“This has been a long time in coming,” said company CEO Alan Kiviat. “Since the start, we’ve been putting all our energies toward building consistently better products. Now it’s time we make sure we’re doing the best job possible in presenting our story to our customers. Just as we’re moving into a new era in lighting technology and new medical advances, we have to be as current in our messaging. We need to inspire as well as inform.”

The new branding efforts were developed by LA ads, a marketing agency in Northridge, California. According to agency vice president and director of client services, Rolf Gutknecht, the branding was the outcome of many months of customer research.  “This new brand was based on what customers and distributors of Medical Illumination actually told us about the quality of its products and how the company consistently meets their needs. Good branding has to be organic and reflect the truth of the company, but also present its aspirations as well. I think that was successfully accomplished with Medical Illumination.”
