Medical
Illumination International, established in 1978, is today one of the
world's premier manufacturers of medical lighting equipment. From the
inception of the company, the goals have been to manufacture surgical,
examination and other medical specialty lights of excellent, forward-thinking
design. Emphasizing skill in engineering, modern, aesthetically-pleasing
design and high value, the company grew steadily over the years..
Originally featuring only a limited number of lighting models, year by year,
the product lines grew to include an ever-increasing diversity of lights, styles
and options. By year 2000, the Medical Illumination line of products would total
over 100, with new models coming forth, which would revolutionize medical
lighting.
In year 2001, the full scope of our medical lighting products had grown to
include lights for surgery, examination, spotlighting, UV "Woods" lights,
magnifying lights, and many more. However, the biggest expansion was yet to
come.
2002 saw the introduction of the company's largest and most significant
line of lighting, yet to emerge. The "SYSTEM ONE" line of surgery lights was
released that year, to great fanfare. The combination of excellent features, size,
output and tremendous value, all contributed to stunning success. SYSTEM
ONE quickly became the fastest growing line of products in the company's
history. In late 2003, a complete new line of SYSTEM ONE lights was
introduced, adding to the already successful products from that series. Also in
2003, Medical Illumination proudly celebrated our 25th Anniversary.
In 2005, System One line continued, with the introduction of a new surgery “satellite”, as well as a video camera.
With our strong growth, worldwide, Medical Illumination International now stands as one of the premiere manufacturers of
medical lighting, with truly global distribution.
